Depends on the type of pool. Inground pools can take 7-10 days (some more elaborate versions have construction time up to 2 months). An above ground pool can be done in just a day or two, but if it’s intended to be permanent, most will build a deck structure around it, which takes longer.
So really, a two-week vacation is probably all the time those grannies needed.,
There are now in-ground concrete4 pools that just have to be set up, hooked up, and back filled around it. Maybe a week at the most before use.
