They are asking not telling and it is for charity. I suspect that while Ace is perfectly happy to help out the charity, convincing the two buddies that he is a good person may have a bit of weight to him being agreeable.
They didn’t win the auction, so of course they can’t fairly “steal” him from the winner. That said, if they made these charity organizers a “matching offer” for a different day of Ace’s time, if only they’ll allow them to pay tomorrow instead of tonight, the sisters certainly aren’t going to say “no” to another $2500 (very likely the top bid of the entire night, probably by a fair margin) that’s going into their charity fund.
