The survival rate for women that do regular self-exams, follow up with doctors if anythings off, and get regular mammagrams is much higher than 80%. That’s the whole point of this post, early detection is key.
Having had someone I love very much get diagnosed, I can’t emphasize enough the importance of regular exams. Because she was diagnosed so early, a simple lumpectomy and a short stint of radiation got it (it took 2 surgeries to get clean margins, but the amount removed was tiny. All because she didn’t skip you annual exam.
