Kinda wish you’d buffed Ace up even just a little bit more. He’s a healthy 15 year old who’s been training in martial arts for a significant time. Yet he almost looks more like a dumpy couch potato.
The paint-thin shipsuit is not making him look very heroic. 🙁
No, I can live with that. Martial arts are about reflexes, not muscle. When I was studying Tai Chi, my teacher’s teacher visited from China. He was a little old guy, not obviously muscular, a bit pot-bellied. He didn’t even seem to move fast. But if you tried to hit him, he was there first. He knocked over one of my fellow students, who probably weighed three times what he did, without even trying hard. And then pointed out that even students should be prepared to meet masters (and run away if necessary.)
Heroism is not how you look. It’s what you do.
That’s the real world. This is the hyper-competent protagonist of a (currently) space adventure comic. How he looks matters here.

My “take” on this topic is that if Ace looks seriously ‘buff’, then his opponents will be more cautious about fighting him, which will therefore make it all-that-much-harder for Ace to catch them off-guard.
It can be a significant disadvantage to LOOK like a Warrior.
Far better to have the Warrior’s abilities WITHOUT the Warrior’s appearance.
Remember that Sharon described him as a pudgy freshman when he approached her to offer himself as a date for her prom. We aren’t that far from that time, and muscle does not form all that fast from martial arts without some serious weight work or chemical help. I don’t see Ace risking using steroids for any reason.
