An old house, a geek, a cute transvestite, a very tall lesbian, and at least one ghost–what could happen? – Adult situations and artistic nudity. Not suitable for children.
Nice to know. We LIKE it when our favorite artists are alive and well. I’ve noticed that you tend to post in bursts. So I don’t wonder if a month or three has gone by since the last post. I figure you are experiencing that awesome thing called “real life”. And then the urge hits and you suddenly share dozens of new pages with us. Yay!
At the moment I am particularly looking forward to finding out what happens next to the mermaids. And to Batty, the magical girl in training.
This is Andy’s mom telling you what happened. He is recovering from a stroke he had March 27th. He’s been hospitalized but came home yesterday. He’s made a wonderful recovery so far, but still has difficulties typing and speaking. He has all the brain power he always had. It’s just a matter of communicating it. It will take time. He reads just fine, so don’t hesitate to remark.
Not trying to be selfish, but is this the end of the comic? I will continue to drop in and check for news either way, but knowing if I should forget about new comics will save a great deal of angst.
“What do you say to the God of Death?”
“Not today.”
Don’t count him out. It’s a long process, but he’s doing amazingly well. And he won’t give up on TMI that easily.
Yeah, been there done that, have the customer loyalty card from Charon’s Ferry Service. I only have to die 6 more times to get the free spa day at the Elysian Fields Resort. Tell Andy it’d a lot better when they let you out of the waiting room, but this side of the river is still better.
Here’s hoping for quick and complete recovery.
From my limited understanding the quicker and stronger he responds the better the prognosis.
I had an office mate long ago that had a stroke way too young. He was one of our superstars and more or less a founder of our software/hardware product. He came back to work after some months but he really could not program anymore. Our management was very good and just had him participate as much as he could – mostly listening. I think it was about a year later that a “light bulb” went off and he started understanding our technical discussions again and started programming as well. Much to both his and our joy. He then was a productive member of the team and had a more satisfying life. The moral of the story: keep trying and you can get rewarded.
Wishing you a speedy recovery! Been sending my bit every month to help how I can. Take care of yourself, there are many of us out here who miss you, your creativity, and your sense of humor.
Oh wow, sorry to hear of your stroke but glad to hear of your recovery. I had my own close call a while back so I know some of what you went through: All this time in a hospital bed? I feel your pain. 😉
Pheew, glad to hear that and I think that we all understand that whilst Inspector Mercy and her associates may look HOT, you might not want to go on a date with them.
Whenever you’re ready to continue, rest assured that we’ll be ready to resume enjoying your storytelling skills.
🙂
Until then, be well, & then, be better.
You’ve been missed.
I am glad to hear that you are recovering, sorry to hear about the stroke.I hope you are feeling better soon, the comic can wait, maximizing your recovery cannot. Like many others I will be here when you are ready to resume.
Whew, glad to hear you are alive, but scared by the news about the stroke, those are sneaky things, leaving all sorts of booby traps behind. Hope you can make a clean recovery in time, and we will be waiting for your further news.
And thanks, Delle, for letting us know.
And now You better keep taking care of yourselves, you two that is not an order, it’s a frigging Doctrine!</Drill Sergeant Voice>
We were beginning to wonder…
Good. Keep it that way. When you’re ready, we’ll be waiting for more TMI.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hooray,
Long time lurker, big supporter. Andy, I am glad you are still present on this plane of existence.
Thank you for your status update.
Thanks goodness! What happened to you?
Glad and Relieved to hear it.

Hi hi Andy’s mom. Could you give us an update on Andy? We’re worried.
This is great! But we want you both alive and well. Seriously.
Not trying to be selfish, but is this the end of the comic? I will continue to drop in and check for news either way, but knowing if I should forget about new comics will save a great deal of angst.
Get better Andy, however that might be defined.

Have had numerous strokes over the years, always feel guilty when those with way more to offer get hit harder (or worse)
Hoping for a healthy recovery
I am gladdened to hear ANdy will recover. I’ve missed him in my daily feed for a while now, and I hope for his full recovery.
Oh shit. Is there anything we can do?

You’ve been missed.
And a great sigh of relief was heard echoing across the land…
Glad you’re still with us! We’ll all hope for a steady and full recovery for you.
Thanks for letting us know, Delle, and both of you take great care! We’ll be here waiting patiently.
Sorry to hear about the stroke, but glad to hear you’re recovering! Keep that up, we’ll wait (im)patiently till you’re ready to resume comic-ing. ^_^
Get better as best you can. Do what the nice medical people tell you to do and do not over do it.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend! Long time lurker/enjoyer of the comic. Focus on getting better.
You take all the time you need, Andy. I’m so glad you’re recovering.
